Terms & conditions
Last updated: 31 May 2026
These Terms govern your purchase of original paintings from Marval Gallery through marvalgallery.com. By placing an order you confirm you have read and accepted them.
1. Who we are
Marval Gallery is a trading name (handelsnaam) of Easy Webs, a business registered in The Netherlands (BRN 99544245, VAT NL005395056B53). When these Terms refer to "we", "us", "our" or "Marval Gallery", they refer to Easy Webs.

2. What we sell
Every artwork on the site is an original, one-of-a-kind painting on canvas, hand-finished by the named artist. Colours on screen are an approximation — actual colour, texture and impasto may vary slightly from the photograph, which is part of the character of an original work.
3. Prices & currency
All prices are displayed in British Pounds Sterling (GBP, £) and shown excluding shipping. Shipping is calculated and confirmed by email after order placement (see Shipping & returns for indicative rates).
Customers outside the EU may owe import duties or VAT in their destination country — these are not included in the order total and are the buyer's responsibility.
3.1 Multi-buy promotion
When you place an order containing two (2) or more paintings, the highest-priced painting in the basket is automatically discounted by 40% at checkout. The discount is applied server-side; no code is required. The promotion stacks with no other offer and applies to the most-expensive painting in the basket only.
4. Order acceptance
Adding a painting to your cart and clicking Pay securely constitutes an offer to buy. Your contract with Marval Gallery is formed only when we confirm dispatch by email. Until that confirmation, we may decline any order — for example if the painting has been sold in our showroom in the meantime, if the price was displayed in error, or if a fraud-risk check is triggered. In any such case we'll refund you in full immediately.
5. Payment
Payment is taken in full at checkout via Mollie B.V., a regulated Dutch payment service provider. Accepted methods include credit and debit cards, iDEAL, PayPal, Apple Pay and Bancontact, subject to availability. We never see or store your card details — only the Mollie payment id, the amount, the method, and the status.
6. Delivery & risk
Indicative delivery times, shipping costs and the carrier are set out in Shipping & returns. Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery to the address you provided. All shipments include insured tracking — see the same page for the damage-on-arrival procedure.
7. Ownership of the painting
Title to the painting passes to you upon receipt of full cleared payment and our dispatch confirmation. Until then the painting remains the property of Marval Gallery.
8. Intellectual property
Buying a painting transfers ownership of the physical work to you. The copyright in the artwork (including reproduction rights) remains with the artist and Marval Gallery. You may resell or gift the physical painting, and you may photograph it for personal/private use; commercial reproduction (prints, postcards, merchandise, etc.) requires our prior written permission.
9. Right of withdrawal
Consumers in the EU and UK have a 14-day right of withdrawal — see the full procedure in Shipping & returns. The right does not apply to clearly personalised or commissioned work made to your specification (EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16(c)).
10. Defects & warranties
Originals on canvas develop a natural patina over time. We warrant that on dispatch each painting is as described on the product page and in good condition. Under EU Directive (EU) 2019/771 — implemented in the Netherlands in Book 7 of the Burgerlijk Wetboek — consumers have at least two (2) years from delivery to raise a claim if the painting was non-conforming at the time we shipped it. Email us with photos and we'll repair, replace, or refund in line with the law.
11. Complaints & dispute resolution
Please email info@marvalgallery.com with any complaint. We aim to respond within five (5) working days. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands (the country in which Easy Webs is registered). Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the EU member state where you are habitually resident continue to apply where they grant you a higher level of protection (EU Regulation 593/2008 — "Rome I"). Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of the Netherlands.
13. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force at the moment you place an order governs that order — the "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the current version.
