Shipping & returns

Last updated: 31 May 2026

Every painting on Marval Gallery is an original, one-of-a-kind work on canvas. We pack and ship each piece ourselves from our studio in Sagunto, Spain, with insured tracked delivery worldwide.

1. Where we ship

We ship to all EU member states, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Norway, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. For other destinations please contact us at info@marvalgallery.com for a custom quote before placing your order.

2. Shipping costs & transit times

Shipping is calculated after you place the order, based on dimensions, weight, destination and insured value. We confirm the exact cost and dispatch date by email within one (1) business day of your payment being received. Indicative transit times once dispatched:

  • Spain & Portugal: 2–4 business days
  • Rest of EU: 3–7 business days
  • United Kingdom: 4–8 business days (includes customs clearance)
  • United States & Canada: 6–12 business days
  • Rest of world: 8–15 business days

Larger pieces over 100 cm on the longest side may require crated freight rather than standard courier — we'll let you know if that applies and confirm the cost before charging anything beyond the painting price.

3. Customs, duties & import VAT

Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, VAT or other charges levied by the destination country. These are the responsibility of the buyer and are not included in the order total. We declare every shipment at its full insured value and cannot mark goods as gifts or under-declare.

4. Packaging & insurance

Every painting is wrapped in acid-free glassine, cushioned with foam, and crated or boxed in a rigid double-walled carton with corner protectors. All shipments include full insured tracking — if the courier loses or damages a piece in transit, you are covered.

5. Right of withdrawal (EU / UK consumers)

Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU (implemented in the Netherlands in Book 6, Title 5, Section 2B of the Burgerlijk Wetboek) and the equivalent UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers have 14 calendar days from the day they receive the painting to withdraw from the purchase without giving any reason.

How to exercise your right of withdrawal

  1. Email info@marvalgallery.com within 14 days of receipt with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to withdraw. (You can use the model withdrawal form in Annex I of the EU Directive — just ask us for a copy.)
  2. Return the painting to us within a further 14 days of notifying us, in its original condition and packaging.
  3. We refund the full order amount (including original outbound shipping at standard rate) within 14 days of receiving the painting back, using the same payment method you used at checkout. We may withhold the refund until the painting reaches us.

Return shipping costs

The cost of returning the painting to our studio in Sagunto is the buyer's responsibility, unless the painting arrived damaged or was incorrectly described — in which case we cover return shipping and arrange collection.

Condition on return

The painting must be returned in its original, unaltered condition with all original packaging. You are only liable for any diminished value of the painting resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

6. Damaged or missing shipments

Open every shipment in front of the courier where possible. If the outer packaging is damaged on arrival, refuse the shipment or note the damage on the courier's delivery slip. Either way, email info@marvalgallery.com within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the outer packaging and the painting. We'll open an insurance claim and arrange replacement, repair or refund.

7. Questions

Anything you'd like clarified before buying? Email us at info@marvalgallery.com or call +34 622 76 66 66. We typically reply within one business day.
